K-Tech has implemented a Quality Management System (QMS), which reaches out to every function of the organisation, mining and processing of natural resources in a responsible manner and maintaining customer requirements and specifications. As a result, there are standard operating procedures and relevant work instructions, for all the processes and activities that have been identified as necessary for the QMS.

The K-Tech QMS is based on the ISO 9001 standard. Kumene Resources aims to achieve the following by implementation and monitoring of its QMS:

• Customer's quality requirements
• Applicable regulatory requirements
• Enhancement of customer satisfaction; and
• Continual improvement of the QMS and achievement of the internal QMS objectives
